This 5k Run/Walk will be
held Saturday, December 8, 2012 in Racine, WI is to
benefit the Racine County Food Bank. This event
will take place in Downtown Racine at Monument
Square. The run starts at 10:00 a.m. Registration
& Packet Pick-Up will be inside the Subway
Restaurant.
ABOUT OUR BENEIFICIARY,
The Racine County Food Bank: The mission of the
Food Bank is to efficiently and effectively obtain
resources and facilitate distribution of food and
necessities to Racine County individuals and
families in need, through a network of direct
service providers. Their goal is to equalize
distribution of resources through the community and
to serve as an advocate on behalf of the community
in reducing hunger. Be part of this special

Bring
at least 2 food items the day of the
race and get entered into a special
drawing. One entry per person.
The
“super six” items that are in
most need include: canned fruit, peanut
butter, tuna fish, beef stew, instant
potatoes, and fruit juice.

Besides
the regular food items needed, there are
special items needed for holiday baskets:
- canned
sweet potatoes
- flavored
gelatin mixes
- ready-to-use
canned frosting
- microwave
popcorn
- shelf-stable
juice
- canned
hams.
